Can you read these books? Help someone along the path to literacy!

Tutor Coordinator Lisa Brown, Assistant Director Nancy Mandato, Executive Director Theresa Oliver

The Literacy Council of Norristown provides instruction in Adult Basic Education (ABE), English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), and GED (high school equivalency) to adult learners in our community via classes and volunteer tutors.

Our vision is to help create a community with an increased level of English literacy, and an organization enthusiastically called upon to provide English literacy improvement services without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

Our mission is to empower those adults who seek to improve their reading, writing, and math skills, or who are learning English as a foreign language. Through a network of local volunteers, we provide one-on-one tutoring or small group classes at little or no cost to students in need.

Make a donation to LCN to raise literacy in your community. Become a volunteer tutor for LCN.

You CAN make a difference!
