Congratulations to LCN’s Robert McShea!

Longtime LCN volunteer Robert McShea is the recipient of the 2017 Citadel Community Hero Award. Bob lives in Norristown, and has devoted many years to volunteering in several different capacities. He joined LCN in 1999 as a volunteer EFL (English as a foreign language) tutor. For the past 17 years, he has been a volunteer EFL classroom instructor, providing instruction for five hours each week. He has assisted his learners outside of the classroom as well, taking them on field trips, supervising shopping excursions, and helping with medical appointments.
Bob has also been the Recording Secretary for LCN’s Board of Directors since 2001, and has helped with many board functions and duties. He has never sought recognition, but has spent countless hours assisting his learners and LCN in ways great and small. Congratulations, Bob!
