Nancy DiSarlo

Nancy has been at LCN since 2021. She has a Masters degree in Education and am a certified reading specialist. Having taught for thirty years and recently retired at the end of 2020, she missed teaching, her passion! During her teaching tenure she taught grades pre-school to college. Immediately upon retirement, she missed teaching greatly! She applied to LCN as a tutor and went through the tutor training program. She began tutoring in 2021 and is still working with her student to this day. It was while tutoring that she saw that LCN needed a Tutor Coordinator. She applied and was hired into the position.

Nancy says teaching is particularly rewarding at LCN, as she gets to meet and help people from all over the USA and from countries throughout the world. She lived outside of the USA in Sweden for 18 months and had to learn Swedish and the culture of that country. So, she says, she can understand the challenges of living in a different county. She has always loved teaching and helping others learn! It’s not just what she does, it’s who she is!
